I think it's a good call to make the movies have their own canon. FNaF VR, AR, and Security Breach really should've had their own timeline so they can expand thier newer ideas rather then going back to old ones. The movie at least has an excuse to focus on new characters and give a new perspective on a new, different, take on Freddy's. I'm hoping so. I don't think they will sit on it until september when Exorcist: Believer comes out. It is also bloomhouse and distributed by Universal while Insidious is distributed by Sony. It would make more sense to release a third trailer with Exorcist and this trailer 2 with Insidious.

The Fnaf movie is also rated PG-13, meaning the target audience is CHILDREN. Children are very unlikely to sit through a 3 hour movie, and more importantly, parents would be less likely to take their kids to a movie if it's 3 hours long. You got to remember, most people don't know or don't care about fnaf. A 3 hour runtime would turn off a lot
